The gist of it

Configure ftp profile
The first thing you need to do is go into options -> Email / FTP and select FTP in the left hand pane. Now click the add button to configure an FTP profile that the DSS Pro software will use to connect and upload the audio files.
Name: -> Online Transcription

Passive mode: -> YES
After download...: -> optional

Click on the test button to check that the connection is working properly and then click finish to close the FTP profile settings dialog.
2Step
Configure send & receive
Select send / Receive in the left hand pane and set the "Automatically send dictations via Email/FTP" to YES. We must also specify that we do NOT want it to attach a management file by selecting the option at the bottom of the dialog. Click OK to close the settings dialog.
3Step
Upload files via FTP
From within the main DSS Pro window you can now upload your .dss files. Choose the folder that contains the files you want to upload by selecting it in the folder list (panel on left of main screen) then in the main window right click on the file / files you want to upload and choose the Send via FTP.. option. A pop up window will appear allowing you to choose the FTP profile you want to use - click the send button to move the files to the FTP outbox and begin the upload.
