Tutorial - Install Free Automated Upload Utility.

Before beginning this process please ensure all of the following have been completed first.

1. You have downloaded the installation package 'oTs_Importer_3.7.msi' and it is accessible from the PC you are installing to. Click Here to download the installation file.

2. You have identified the source folders you will want to monitor. If using this utility in conjunction with an Olympus DS-4000 voice recorder the folder you will probably want to monitor is \My Documents\DSSPlayer\Message\FolderA. This is the folder where the .DSS files are stored by the DSS Player software that comes with the device.
   
   Any folder can be specified as a source. When audio files are put into any folder that is monitored they will be uploaded to the OTS WinScribe Server by the Importer software.
   
   

Installation - Step 1

Locate the oTs_Importer_3.7.msi file on your computer and double - click on it. The installation process should begin - click next on the welcome screen and you are presented with the following screen.

Choose Install as Windows Service ONLY if you are running Windows XP or a Windows Server Operating System. Running the software as a service means that it is always running in the background monitoring your folders - you don't have to open the application to start the monitoring process.

Install as a normal Windows application means that the software will only be running if you open it manually from Start > All Programs > WinScribe > WinScribe Importer. Once the program is running it will begin monitoring your folders.
